Mori Tower, Roppongi Hills
Its very organic, every time I see it I love it Mori and Mori...
Has anyone been there? I can see something like a garden on the lower levels. There is also a famous museum there somewhere, right?
Sure. It's full of shops and a museum. And models. Last time I visited Tenenbaum showed me around, although we didn't spend a lot of time because he dragged me down to Tokyo Midtown. The building is infamous for an accident which caused a death when some automatic doors closed a few years ago but that has all been fixed. You do get a good view of the Roppongi and also of the Tokyo Tower from the plaza surrounding the building.
There's an observation deck on top also.
Its a beauty. You can see the construction here.
See Roppongi Hills Mori Tower construction which took place over 2 years in 2 minutes time lapse.
Agree, the Mori and Mori I see this one the Mori and Mori I like it. Rounded, smooth, relaxed, natural. A very nice design.
Wait a second here guys. So the Japanese get this building and we get a curved box (ie 15 Penn Plaza)? This is the type of design that would have looked good in Midtown because its round and something that looks different from the square buildings there. Why why WHY!???

Have you actually seen this tower in real life? Or are you just going by the pictures/rendering that yu see here on the forum?
Who is to say that Mori Tower is better or worse looking than 15 Penn Plaza will be? Sure, I don't like the idea of 15 Penn myself, but lets just wait and see?
